A key to Envu’s success in the amenity sector is our industry knowledge, our ability to understand turf issues and our commitment to customers.  Newly appointed National Account Manager, Phil Logan has these in barrow loads!

Out of school, Phil started his career as a greenkeeping apprentice, he remained on the tools for 10 years, working at some iconic golf courses including The West Course, Wentworth and The Old Course, St Andrews.  As well as invaluable practical experience, he gained a first-class honours degree in Turfgrass Science and Management from UCLAN.

Following his time working on the fairways, Phil has had roles as Trials Manager at the STRI and as Regional Sales Manager at market leading grass seed company, Barenbrug.  More recently he was UK Technical Manager at the independent sports turf product + agronomy provider, AGS.  Together with being a fully qualified BASIS adviser, that’s a whole heap of relevant experience for our customers and Envu, so we couldn’t be more delighted to have Phil onboard.

Talking to Phil about his new role with us, he’s excited about working for a new company with so much potential and opportunity.  He says, “strong relationships are vital, and my focus is on our end users as well as our distribution partners.  With key products disappearing and a dwindling armoury of active ingredients, we need to deliver sustainable solutions to help turf professionals face the challenges today.  We have some exciting developments at Envu which we will announce in due course.”

Commenting on the increasing pressures surrounding environmental sustainability, Phil stressed the need for greenkeepers to adopt alternative practices early, to understand what the future will look like and be prepared.  It’s a vital area of interest for Envu and Phil, who looks forward to discussing this with many of you at the ATPI Sports Turf event in Ireland and BTME in January 2023.
